The New Wedding Season

There is a nip in the air, Christmas lights are going up and the holidays are right around the corner. That can only mean one thing: winter is coming! In honor of an exciting announcement we will be sharing at the end of this post, today we're sharing some of the most unique and fabulous trends for winter weddings! These ideas will make you want to say "I do" in the chilly months!

1.Berries in Your Bouquets

Hands down one of the most important things at the wedding, aside from you, are the flowers. When choosing flowers it is always important to remember what will be in season. This isn't something that you will have to know off the top of your head (your florist will know this) but play up those options! Juniper berries, pepper berries and even pine fronds will add a wintery feel to your bouquets and centerpieces without making them look Christmasy.

2. Velvet Shoes and Accessories

Velvet has been a huge trend in everyday fashion this fall and winter and it's the perfect cozy texture to add to your wedding day attire. Imagine a pointed toe pump covered in a luxurious velvet in the color of your choice! Already have your shoes? Add velvet with a pair of gloves or wrap for pictures! You’ll love the contrast of textures!

3. Deep Jewel Tones

Imagine it now: a wintery back drop, lush snow laden pines and deep jewel toned bridesmaid dresses. Whether you love a rich emerald or a deep garnet you will fall in love with the pop and contrast of the deep tones against your winter motif! You can also incorporate jewel tones throughout your wedding decor as well. Think about your table cloths and napkins. Add little pops here and there and you will love the outcome!

4. Faux Fur Accents

Lets be real for a second, winter is cold but if there is snow on the ground and the sun is glistening you have to capture that moment! Keep yourself and your girls warm and fabulous with a faux fur wrap or coat! My mom and dad were married on a chilly day in November and my mom worn an amazing fur coat and looked effortlessly glamorous! Ever since seeing her wedding pictures I have loved the idea of faux fur accents!

5. Flower Crowns

When you think of flower crowns you may think spring and summer, but think again! Flower crowns are the new trend in bridal headwear for the fall and winter months. Just like your bouquets, tie seasonal greens and flowers into your head piece. If you're not into the real flowers we have jeweled options for you with beautiful gems and sparkly beads instead!

We are thrilled to announce that we will be a part of a "fake" wedding happening THIS January! It's the perfect time for engaged couples to see the best local wedding vendors in action!
